Since a young age, I have been a lover of stories. I believe that we all receive messages and beliefs as we grow up, and it is our job to make sense of our story to overcome difficult chapters in life. Words have the power to both harm and heal us. Sometimes our journey involves mental health concerns, such as anxiety and depression. This is where the power of therapy comes in. I utilize both narrative and play therapy to process histories and empower change. Alongside narrative and play therapy, I rely heavily on trauma-informed practices. My work is LGBTQIA+ affirming, inclusive of religious beliefs, and centered firmly on the belief that the client sitting across from me is the expert in their story. In my 8+ years as a therapist I have grown stronger in my belief that no two people are the same, and we must work together to decide what treatment approach will best suit you in your unique needs. I will use a collaborative approach to building our sessions, relying on both the client and the family as the experts. When not in my office, you might find me out hiking, playing with my dog, reading a book, or learning a new hobby - always with a cup of hot coffee in hand.
